Women play a growing part in the world of energy ranging from expert engineering skills to senior financial and executive responsibilities. This trend has accelerated over the last decade.

          ENERGY ACCESS offers women a peer-group platform to meet with their contemporaries across the world of energy. It is a sister organisation to the Windsor Energy Group that provides high-level exchanges between senior figures in the public and private sectors concerned with energy geopolitics.

Leadership                                                                                                                                                                                           

          ENERGY ACCESS is chaired by Lady Judge (The Hon. Barbara Thomas) chairs the UK Atomic Energy Authority and was the second woman to serve as a member of the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The  organisation is directed by Dr. Carole Nakhle, a Research Fellow in Energy at Surrey Energy Economics Centre (SEEC), at the University of Surrey and a Special Parliamentary Adviser on Energy Issues and Middle Eastern Affairs to Lord Howell, a former British Energy Minister.

          ENERGY ACCESS holds quarterly sponsored business meetings with speakers on strategic issues involving energy. Smaller workshops and seminars compliment the quarterly meetings.

          ENERGY ACCESS is developing an intranet site to enable members to exchange news, identify new business opportunities, fill job vacancies and  promote their expertise.

          ENERGY ACCESS members receive the monthly Windsor Energy Group  (WEG) newsletter distributed by email to update them on global energy geopolitics. The secretariat for both Energy Access and the Windsor Energy Group is provided by MEC International, Ltd.
